Yoodoo vs Structured: which day planner keeps you on track?

Structured is a tidy, affordable visual planner with a great free version. Pick it if you want a clean timeline and the price matters most. Pick Yoodoo if your days need fixing more than drawing: one tap re-fits the day on iPhone and Android, the blocker is built in, and your calendar syncs both ways.

Facts about Structured from its own pages, checked 9 October 2026.

Pick Yoodoo if…

  • You want your day fixed in one tap when it slips, on iPhone or Android, and in the free version.
  • You want a blocker built in, without setting up a second app.
  • You'd like to say your day out loud and have it land on your timeline, then change it the same way.
  • You want your tasks to go back to your calendar, not just meetings coming in.

Pick Structured if…

  • You want a clean, simple timeline and you don't need much else.
  • Price matters most: Structured Pro is about half what Yoodoo Pro costs a year, and there's a lifetime option.
  • You're on Apple devices and want proper iPad, Apple Watch and Mac apps.
  • You like Structured's energy monitor and its huge set of icons.

Where Structured shines

Structured is a really nice app. It puts your tasks and your calendar on one visual timeline, and it does that simply and cleanly. There’s a drag-and-drop day, an inbox for catching ideas, colour coding with hundreds of icons, widgets, Live Activities and a Pomodoro focus timer, all in the free version.

It’s also good value. On the US App Store, Structured Pro is $29.99 a year, and there’s a $99.99 lifetime option. Pro adds calendar import, recurring tasks, Structured AI for drafting a schedule, and Replan. There are apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac, plus Android and the web. Have a look at structured.app.

If what you want is a tidy timeline and a low price, Structured is a very good choice.

Where Yoodoo is different

We both draw your day as a timeline. Where we differ is what happens around it.

Yoodoo has its own app blocker. It locks the apps that eat your day on a schedule, when you tap Block now, or when you start focusing on a task. Structured’s help centre shows how to pair it with a separate app, one sec, to do something similar. That works, but it’s a second app to set up.

Ask Yoodoo plans your day when you just say it, and changes it the same way. It also files things into lists, breaks big tasks into tiny steps and ticks your habits. And calendar sync goes both ways with Pro. Structured’s help centre says its calendar import is one direction only, so tasks can’t go back to your calendar.

Yoodoo was built for ADHD from the start, by someone with ADHD. Structured says it’s built for ADHD minds, busy professionals and students. Both are fair. Ours just makes every decision with that one brain in mind.

When your day falls apart

This is the biggest difference. Plans slip. The question is how much work it is to get back on.

In Yoodoo, Fix my day notices when something runs over or doesn’t start, asks you one question, and fits the rest of your day around what really happened. Meetings and locked things never move. Your most important task is protected. Whatever doesn’t fit goes to Anytime or tomorrow, never into a pile. It’s in Lite, the free version, on iPhone and Android.

Structured’s answer is Replan. It lets you go back over unfinished tasks and reschedule, move, tick or delete each one, and it can remind you at a time you pick. It’s a good tool. According to Structured’s help centre, it needs Pro and isn’t on Android or the web yet.

Price

Structured Pro is $29.99 a year on the US App Store, with monthly and $99.99 lifetime options. Prices vary by country, and the App Store lists a few different yearly prices. There’s a free version.

Yoodoo Pro is $59.99 a year, $7.99 a month, or $149.99 once for lifetime. Everyone gets Pro free for their first week, then Lite is free for good, with the timeline, Fix my day and the focus timer. So Structured is cheaper. We think the blocker, two-way sync and Ask Yoodoo earn the difference, but the free week is there so you can decide. See Pro.

Switching from Structured

It takes about ten minutes.

  1. Bring your calendar in. Your meetings become the fixed points on the timeline.
  2. Brain dump your inbox. Type everything from Structured’s inbox into a list, star what matters, and swipe it onto today.
  3. Talk your day. Say what’s on and Yoodoo builds it around your calendar.
  4. Lock the school run and anything else that can’t move.

Then, the first time a task runs over, tap Fix my day.

Questions

Does Structured have an app blocker?
Not on its own. Structured's help centre shows how to pair it with a separate app called one sec, which blocks social media while you're on a task. Yoodoo's blocker is built in.
Does Structured sync with Google Calendar both ways?
No. Structured's own help centre says calendar import is one direction only and that tasks can't be exported to your calendar. It's a Pro feature there. In Yoodoo, two-way sync is part of Pro.
Is Structured's Replan on Android?
Not yet, according to Structured's help centre. Replan needs Pro and is on Apple devices only. Yoodoo's Fix my day is on iPhone and Android, and it's in Lite.
