The short version
What you need to know

- Everyone gets a free week of Pro from the day they build their first day. You don't pay for it, and you choose what happens after.

- What you put in Yoodoo is yours. We only use it to run Yoodoo for you.
- The AI features can get things wrong. Check what they suggest before you rely on it.
- Yoodoo is a planner, not a treatment. It isn't medical advice.
- Your legal rights as a consumer aren't affected by anything here.
The full terms are below. By using Yoodoo, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Yoodoo.
Who we are
Who these terms are with
Yoodoo is made by Smart Recipes Ltd ("Yoodoo", "we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us. They cover the Yoodoo apps on iPhone, Android, web and desktop ("Yoodoo"). How we handle your data is in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Using Yoodoo
Who can use Yoodoo
You need to be at least 13 to use Yoodoo. If you're under 18, please check with a parent or guardian first. Yoodoo is for your own personal use: planning your days, your lists, your habits and your focus.
Your account
Email, sign-in and keeping it safe
On your phone, you can use Yoodoo without an account. We ask for your email during setup, and you can skip it. Your day lives on your phone.
On the web and desktop, you sign up with your email (or Apple or Google), and we send you a code to sign in. There's no password. This keeps your day safe if you clear your browser.
With Pro, you sign in with the same email on each device, and Yoodoo syncs between them.
Keep access to your email safe, because it's how you sign in. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into your account.
Lite, Pro and paying
What's free, what's Pro, and how paying works
The free week
Everyone gets Pro free for seven days, starting when you build your first day. You aren't charged for the free week. Before it ends we'll show you your options: keep Pro, or carry on with Lite. If you choose a plan during the free week, the store shows you exactly when your first payment is taken before you confirm.
Lite
Lite is free, for good. What's in Lite and what's in Pro is on our Pro page. We may change what's in each over time, and we'll never take away something you've made.
Pro subscriptions
Pro is available monthly or yearly. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown when you bought it, until you cancel. You pay through the place you subscribed:
- On iPhone, through Apple's App Store, under Apple's terms.
- On Android, through Google Play, under Google's terms.
- On the web, through Stripe, our payment provider.
Prices are the ones shown in the store or at checkout, and they can differ by country. If we ever change the price of your subscription, we'll tell you before it applies, and the new price only starts from your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
Lifetime
Lifetime is one payment for Pro for as long as we run Yoodoo, with every update included. Because the AI features cost us money each time they're used, Lifetime includes a generous monthly allowance of AI requests (currently 300 a month across Ask Yoodoo, Plan today and AI steps). Everything else in Pro has no limit.
Cancelling and refunds
Cancelling, and getting your money back
Cancel any time, where you subscribed: in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions, or for the web, from Your plan in Yoodoo's Settings. Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, then you're on Lite. Nothing you made is deleted or hidden.
Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple and Google, under their rules. We can't issue those refunds ourselves, but we're happy to help you ask.
For purchases on the web, email us within 14 days of being charged and we'll refund you. If you're in the UK or EU, you may also have a legal right to cancel within 14 days. By starting to use Pro straight away, you agree that this right may end once you've used it, as the law allows for digital services. That never affects the 14-day refund above.
Ask Yoodoo and AI
The AI features
Ask Yoodoo, Plan today and AI steps use AI to plan and change your day, file things into lists, and break tasks into steps. They're quick and usually right, but AI can misunderstand you or get things wrong: a time, a task, how long something takes. Check what they suggest, especially anything that matters, like an appointment or a deadline. Calendar events and things you've locked never move automatically.
To keep the AI features fast and fair for everyone, there are limits on how often they can be used. What the AI features send, and to whom, is in the Privacy Policy.
The app blocker
Blocking apps
The app blocker is part of Pro. On iPhone it works through Apple's Screen Time, so it can only do what Apple allows, and Apple can change that. Android is coming. We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise it will block every app every time. Don't rely on it for anything where safety is at stake, and make sure you can always reach the apps you need in an emergency.
Not medical advice
Yoodoo is a planner, not a treatment
Yoodoo is built for people with ADHD and anyone whose days keep breaking. But it isn't a medical device, and nothing in the app, on this website or in our emails is medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment. If you think you might have ADHD, or you want help with it, talk to your GP or a clinician.
Your stuff
What you put in Yoodoo is yours
Your tasks, lists, habits, notes, templates and everything else you put in Yoodoo belong to you. You give us permission to store, sync, process and show that content only so we can run Yoodoo for you, for example syncing it to your other devices on Pro, or sending it to our AI provider when you use an AI feature. We don't sell it, and we don't use it for advertising.
You can export everything, or delete your account and data, from Settings, Data and privacy, at any time. On Lite your day lives on your phone, so if you lose your phone without a backup, we can't get it back for you. Pro keeps it synced and backed up.
Fair use
Please don't
- Break the law with Yoodoo, or use it to harm anyone.
- Try to get into accounts, systems or data that aren't yours.
- Copy, reverse engineer or resell Yoodoo, except where the law says you can.
- Overload Yoodoo or get around its limits, for example with bots or scripts hitting the AI features.
- Share your account or Pro with people who haven't paid for it.
Our stuff
Yoodoo itself
The Yoodoo apps, website, name, logo, designs, words, music and everything else we make belong to us or the people who licensed them to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Yoodoo under these terms. If you send us feedback or ideas, we can use them to make Yoodoo better, without owing you anything for them. Thank you in advance.
Changes to Yoodoo
Yoodoo will keep changing
We're always improving Yoodoo, so features will be added, changed and sometimes removed. If we remove something important from Pro, we'll tell you first. Yoodoo works offline, but some features (sync, the AI features, Google Calendar) need an internet connection, and like any app, Yoodoo may sometimes be unavailable while we fix or update things.
Yoodoo connects to other services you choose to use, like Apple, Google, your calendars and the app stores. Those services have their own terms, and we're not responsible for them.
Ending things
If you leave, or if we have to stop
You can stop using Yoodoo, and delete your account and data, any time from Settings.
We can suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires us to. Unless it's urgent or the law says otherwise, we'll tell you first and give you the chance to export your data.
If we ever stop running Yoodoo, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to export everything. If you've paid for Pro beyond that date, we'll refund the part you haven't used, as far as the store we sold it through allows.
Our responsibility
What we're responsible for
We provide Yoodoo with reasonable care and skill. If you're a consumer, you have legal rights that nothing in these terms takes away. If something we provide is faulty, tell us and we'll put it right.
Beyond those rights, and as far as the law allows: Yoodoo is provided as it is, we're not responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, or for things that are outside our control (like a missed appointment because a reminder didn't fire, or a store outage), and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you've paid us in the 12 months before the problem.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit.
The law that applies
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts there. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you also keep the protections of your local consumer law, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
Changes
If these terms change
We'll update the date at the top. If a change matters, like a new price or a change to what you get, we'll tell you in the app before it applies. If you don't agree with a change, you can cancel before it does.
